Vimy Flight consists of a team of Canadian military pilots who are retired or active and continue to believe that our Nation was born out of the teamwork and the sacrifice that our brave soldiers and airmen endured during the Great War. Today, with over 230,000 of combined flying experience, the ten hand picked pilots understand the tremendous risk and courage required to fly these fragile craft.
Now Vimy Flight brought the story home. After the dramatic re-enactment of the 1936 fly over ceremony at the historic Vimy Memorial, the Vimy Flight team of pilots and support personnel shared the stories of the early Military aviators across the country with the Birth of A Nation tour in 2017. Passion, courage and adventure drives the team to provide Canadians the message that it is our privilege to honour those that sacrificed so much for us to enjoy the freedom that we have today.
Sound Venture has produced three powerful and poignant documentaries, narrated in English by iconic Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd and in French by celebrated Canadian explorer and mountaineer Bernard Voyer. The Third in the Series "Flight Path of Heroes" tells the story of Vimy Flight - its challenges and victories along with its mission - to share the message of Heroic sacrifice and the magic of aviation in our lives.
